Rotted trim, failed fascia, wobbly deck boards, cracked crown molding, a small addition. We fix, rebuild, or build new — then our paint crew finishes it so the repair blends in and lasts.

If you've got black spots along window sills, spongy trim, crumbling fascia, or peeling paint over visibly damaged wood, that's rot. We cut out the failed sections, replace with like-for-like material (same profile, same species, same thickness), prime all six sides of the new wood before installation, and finish with a tight caulk bead and two full coats of paint. Done properly, the repair is invisible when we leave.
We repair: siding (clapboard, shingle, shiplap, board-and-batten), window and door trim, fascia, soffits, corner boards, porch posts and columns, window sills, door sills, railings, porch floorboards, and cedar shingles.
Pressure-treated decks typically last 15–25 years. After that, boards cup, rails loosen, and stairs sag. We handle everything from board-and-rail replacement on an otherwise-sound deck to full tear-down and rebuild. We build in pressure-treated lumber, cedar, or composite (Trex, TimberTech, Azek) depending on your budget and look. Includes stair treads, railings, skirting, fascia trim, and structural support where needed.
Additional deck services: stain and seal existing decks, add pergolas or shade structures, repair or replace railings only, add stair lighting, repair flashing where the deck ledger meets the house.
Once the painters are in your home, it's a natural time to add the interior carpentry details that make a house feel finished. We install crown molding, add or replace baseboards, build wainscoting and board-and-batten accent walls, fit custom closet systems, build shelving and bookcase built-ins, and replace door and window casings. Most projects are 1–3 days and integrate cleanly with an interior paint schedule.
We handle small additions and bump-outs: mudrooms, laundry-room extensions, covered porches, screened porches, three-season rooms, and workshop or shed builds. All work is done to code, fully permitted where required, and we coordinate subs (electrical, plumbing, roofing) so you have one point of contact through the whole project. Foundation or framing failures on the existing house? We handle those too as part of a coordinated scope.
We carry a Connecticut Home Improvement Contractor license (CT HIC) and full general-liability plus workers'-compensation insurance. Certificate of Insurance available on request before any work begins. Every carpentry scope is written, itemized, and warranted in your contract.
Small wood-rot repair during an exterior paint project: built into the painting schedule. Full deck rebuild: 1–2 weeks. Interior trim package: 2–5 days. Mudroom or small addition: 4–8 weeks including permits. Every job gets a written timeline and we stick to it.
