What You Can Expect From An Interior Paint Job.

A quality interior paint job is 80% prep and 20% paint. Here's everything that happens in your home from the free estimate to the final walk-through.

What interior painting really covers

We handle every painted surface inside your home: walls, ceilings, baseboards, window and door casings, doors themselves, closets, crown molding, wainscoting, stair risers, and — when you want to modernize a kitchen without a full remodel — cabinet doors and boxes. We price it room-by-room, so you can choose how far to go.

Our 6-step prep-first process

  1. Protect everything. Furniture moved to the center of the room and wrapped in plastic. Floors covered with canvas drop cloths on hardwood and heavy plastic on carpet. Outlets, switches, vents, and door hardware masked off. Plants and artwork relocated.
  2. Patch & repair. Every nail hole, crack, dent, drywall seam, and small hole gets patched with compound, feathered, and sanded smooth. Bigger damage (corner beads, settled cracks) gets proper drywall repair before any paint touches the wall.
  3. Sand & prime. Glossy trim sanded for adhesion. Stains spot-primed with a stain-blocker so they don't bleed through. New drywall or bare wood gets full primer coverage first.
  4. Caulk the gaps. Every trim-to-wall seam, baseboard edge, and crown-molding joint gets a tight bead of paintable caulk. This is the single biggest detail that separates a tight, professional finish from a tired one.
  5. Cut and roll — two full coats. Straight brush lines along ceilings, trim, and corners. Two full roller coats (not one thick one) for even color, full hide, and uniform sheen.
  6. Daily clean. Tools cleaned and stored, plastic shifted as needed, dust vacuumed. You come home to a livable house every evening.

Paint products we use

Premium only — no "contractor grade" jug paint. Our standard interior products are Benjamin Moore Regal Select and Aura, and Sherwin-Williams Emerald, Duration Home, and SuperPaint. You choose the finish: flat or matte for ceilings and low-traffic walls, eggshell for most living spaces, satin or semi-gloss for trim, doors, and high-touch rooms like kitchens and bathrooms.

Color consultation — included

Included with every project. Our color consultant will bring physical sample boards, help you test colors in your actual light, and talk through the flow from room to room so the colors don't fight each other. If you already know exactly what you want, we skip this step — no pressure either way.

Typical timeline

A single average-sized room is typically 1–2 working days. A full interior repaint of a 2,500 sq-ft home usually takes 5–10 working days depending on ceiling height, trim detail, and how much of your furniture needs to be moved. Cabinet packages run in parallel and add 3–5 days. We give you a firm timeline in writing with the estimate and we stick to it.

Written workmanship warranty

Every interior project comes with a written workmanship warranty in your contract. If any paint failure is attributable to our work — peeling, lifting, flaking due to improper prep — we come back and fix it at no charge. The warranty is transferable if you sell the home.
